By how it looks, I can understand it's forked from an older version (stage) of Eye of Gnome (development).
But nothing demonstrates this to me more than when EOM will not see a change in XMP resolution made from an external tool (Exiftool or ImageMagick), while EOG sees it right away.
This happened to me this morning with only one file, but I've seen this behaviour before. Can someone explain why this might be in more or less "well, MATE doesn't have C library X, Y and Z built in while GNOME 3 does" kind of terms?
Idle curiosity at best. No one need get headaches over it.
