extracting from password protected zip files
 

Is ther any method to extract password protected zip(winzip) file in linnux.

we are not here to discuss cracking passwords.

i didnt mean to crack the password. here i know the password but dont know how to unzip a password protected zip file in linux. does any one know any commands for this.

man unzip

You can use:
unzip -P mypasswd file.zip

I'm going to try that tonight, it's a shame Ark doesn't display the prompt, just tell you that you need a password in the failure logs.
