Extension-based organization in Firefox
This is a query that, as far as I know, can't be done from the bare Firefox UI. So, I was wondering if there is some kind of extension or script I could write to do this for me. If you don't understand the title, I want to save .jpg files in one directory, .txt files in another, and so on based on their extensions in folders jpg/ and txt/ and so forth. Firefox has an "change action" for different file types, but it doesn't allow you to select where you want that type of file to be placed.
Any ideas?
(The only thing I can think of would be a cron job to place files in their proper locations, but I would like to avoid unnecessary scripting if there's a plugin like this.)
