Unhappy Extended ASCII on Busybox ASH shell

hyo! i'm building a busybox (version 1.00) based linux system.
the problem is i can't type extended-ascii character (ALT+219)
like on

when i type ALT+219 it show as 'U' not a full-box character
(like in the picture).

please, let me know how to make it happen ?
