Question Ext3 recovery?

Question, I have a system with a 200 MHz pentium with a small 400 MB hard drive.

How long should a ext3 recovery process take on a hard reboot.
For some reason the system seems to be taking much longer than it should.
Or used to, for that matter.

And doing an fsck on the drive doesn't yield any better performance on the next
ext3 recovery.

Any ideas on what could be causing the issues in speed here?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

issues in speed? your hard drive is very old, and worn out... probably the cause... What OS do you have on?

Actually the hard drive is a flash device for a PC104 Stack.

So I know its ok.

The system is running a modified linux kernel. Its a 2.4 kernel.

Problem just seems to be that when booting up

Seems as though ext3 recover was taking 30+ seconds. When normally
its usually around 10 max. And I have completely fcsked the device
and it appears to be clean and working properly.

Thanks anyway.
