make[2]: *** [nite] Error 1

make[1]: *** [sub-nite] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/aniket/exscalibar-1.0.4/src'
make: *** [sub-src] Error 2

I know that the libsndfile rpm is installed( I checked by rpm -q)

You need to install libsndfile or whatever package that provides it.
