Executing Gimp 2.2 in Mandriva 10.1

Morning all,

I have searched in eye burning depth for the answer to this one but I am yet again let down by my inability to clearly compose a search query.

Here is the problem, having upgraded Gimp 2_0-2.0.4.-1mdk to Gimp-2.2.4-5mdk in RPMDrake I am unable to execute or find the executable for the programme. Moving to the command line and typing gimp gives the following error message:

$ gimp
gimp: symbol lookup error: gimp: undefined symbol: gimp_enum_set_value_descriptions

Hopefully its simple/stupidity on my part as has been known in the past.

It might not be in your path. Have you tried
[CODE}whereis gimp[/CODE]
Your going to have to find out where it is installed.
Might be in /usr/lib or /usr/local/lib or /usr/lib/local etc.
On this BSD machine it is at /usr/X11R6/bin/gimp. Won't be exactly there on a linux box though.

try this from a terminal : gimp-2.2
