Exectuing Shell Script on Gnome Startup

Can someone please help me execute a shell script on Gnome startup? I need to script an export of the DISPLAY variable and run "xhost +" after Gnome starts.

Thanks

I'm pretty (but not totally) sure you can just stick the script into your xinitrc file after your GNOME startup command.

This is the place where you'd also put all your default applications, like xterm, that you'd want to start on boot irrespective of saved sessions.

Here is what I have in my xinitrc file

#!/bin/sh
exec gnome-session
export DISPLAY=machine:0.0
xhost +
/u01/applmgr/product/11i/mwa/11.5.0/mwactl.sh start 10200 &

The shell script does not run with it like this. Gnome starts, but nothing else. Any ideas?

Thanks

Neverming this should go in the ~/.Xclients file.
