Evolution won't delete mail from the server

Everytime I DL my mail evolution does not delete it from the server. I have checked the mail setting and they are set as they should. Also, evolution is not letting me send mail. It is giving me problems. I think it is trying to find a folder in ~/evolution but it may be read only because I copied it from cd-rom. If you guys are familiar with this problem than let me know.

I just changed all the permisions so that the owner has write access. It deleted the messages from the server too.
