yeah... i remember running into that troubleshooting some email account a long time ago... really ticky, actually... had to delete the e-mail itself every time, because the actual outgoing e-mail held onto the server settings, regardless of any account updates...
umm... but if this was a problem server-side, and not a config problem on your end... and the e-mail ain't in your outbox... i'd suppose it's sent
