Question Evolution email: How to remove an email account

I have set up an email account on my old laptop in Evolution as a familiarisation exercise. I now intend to pass on the laptop to my grandson. I wish to remove the email account. How can I do this?

Start Evolution.

In the accounts section of the menu (I forget exactly were it is) you can select the account, then click the Delete button.

Then delete the hidden ~/.evolution folder in your home directory.

I just did this on my netbook this afternoon. The irritation factor of using Evolution (which I had been using there, like you, as a familiarization exercise) finally got the better of me.

A pity, since Evolution has the only app I know of that interfaces with the Palm-OS series of PDAs and smartphones. Argh.

Since I don't have anything Palm, this was not an issue for me, but I can certainly understand the motives of a Palm or Exchange user.

I just wanted to give Evolution a whirl.
