Evolution & RedHat 7.2
OK, here's the deal. I downloaded the Evolution.rpm for RedHat 7.2, but when I went to install it there were a bunch of missing dependencies. So I went and installed or upgraded all the them by hand. Now there seems to be a couple libraries I can't find. When I do a <rpm -ivh Evolution.rpm> this is what I get
error: failed dependencies: libcrypto.so.3 is neede by evolution-1.0.2-1 libssl.so.3 "" libgpilotdcm.so.1 "" libgpilotdconduit.so.1 "" libgpilotd.so.1 "" I've got the gnome-pilot.rpm file, but it can't install without libcrypto & libssl. Does ANYONE know where I can get these packages or how to install evoltion an easier way. It was my understanding that if a .rpm file is created for a certain distro & version of linux (ex. RedHat 7.2) that all of the dependicies should be taken care of by the default install, am I wrong? Anyway, this is pretty frustrating if anyone could help me ou I'd appreciate it very much, Thanks in Advance! Aaron :newbie: |
either sourceforge.net or freshmeat.net will have the packages somewhere. redhat also has an rpm database on it's site somewhere.
