evolution and db3 problem


i've got a problem
ive installed db3 and trying to install evolution but it said this things:

"checking for db3 library name... configure: error: Could not find db3 library


the fact is that libraries are in /usr/local/lib directory and i followed all the instrucions gave in the evolution help file...


what should i do???

Have you run ldconfig after installing db3? It might not have been updated or not in your path? Are you installing as root or a user?

what should i do for ldconfig???
