Evolution 2.2.2 Contacts aren't found

I'm running Ximian Evolution 2.2.2 on Fedora Core 4 and am connecting to an Exchange 2003 server with the Connector. I can send and receive email, my calendar works, but I can't get access to the LDAP server for my email addresses.

I am getting authenticated using Distiguished Name. That was no small feat, LInux is not supported at work so I had to search through the registry on my Windows box with Outlook to find the right names to put in.

When I try to add entires in the search base they disappear after I hit OK. I get no error messages and seem to authenticate fine, but all I see is the message "Search for the Contact or double-click here to create a new Contact." If I try a new search I get the error "Unable to perform search. The query did not complete successfully."

So, am I missing anything or is there a bug? If it can't be fixed does anyone know a good way to pull the Global Directory off of the Exchange server using Outlook? Then I could import it into Evolution.

Thanks in advance and let me know if there is more info that you need. Just a heads up, I have very little knowlege of how they configure the mail server. And since Linux isn't supported I don't have any help from IT. Not that I should expect it, they have their hands full with Windows!

I have upgraded from FC3 to FC4 today and now Evolution 2.2.2 cannot access my Exchange Contact or the Global Addressbook.

Initially, it couldn't access anything and I ended up having to change the URL from http: to https:, the former worked fine on the previous release.

I am getting the error "you have entered an incorrect URI, or the server is unreachable", which isn't the case as I can get at my mail.

Fixed! It turns out I was putting in the wrong LDAP server. I was getting authenticated but nothing was coming up...because there wasn't anything in there. It was a test server or something.

Working now though!
