Everything on my Desktop was disappeared

Hi

Suddenly this morning when I logged in my openSuse 10.2
in x window environment I couldnt see anything on the Desktop.
The command prompt is working, the applications are working but all the folders are like they are hidden. I can see that they are there through .../Desktop/... but not through my graphic environment. Additionally the
the logout command works too slow.

if your using 3d desktop , turn it off . i needed to do it to because my mouse pointer dissapeared ...

Run the " gconf-editor " and see if the settings are default , or you can just set the environment as you need .
