Eterm name color

I read the Eterm man page and changed my text color, but I can't seem to change the color of my name and my current directory that are always displayed.

You are referring to your prompt, I suppose.

It is governed by the PS1 (and PS2) environment variables. Check out your shell's man page for details.
Or take a look at
http://www.faqs.org/docs/abs/HTML/colorizing.html
for a Bash example.
