Eterm Escreen mc problems HOME END keys etc.

Hello.
First
eterm-0.9.2
Slackware-10.0 (upgraded from 9.1 with slapt-get)

I`ve got some problems here regarding Eterms implementation of screen. Actually it does concern screen too. The problem is, when I launch screen or Eterm -t Escreen (-t means theme) I have problems with some keys in vim an mc, and I think there will be more when I try them out.
HOME and END keys don`t work, give some strange characters, and F1-F4, which is VERY annoying. Please don`t tell me to use fluxbox and play with tabs, or konsole (way too much RAM eating), or gnome-terminal (I`ve got an ati card + 2.6.7cko1= no accel). I want Eterm with it`s screen implementation to work.
Here`s some more info. Now it doesn`t matter if I launch screen or Eterm -t Escreen. So from now I`ll name it screen. When screen launches,
# echo $TERM
# screen
MC doesn`t work properly.When I
# export TERM=xterm
mc works now, but it doesn`t look like in linux console or in xterm.
When I
# export TERM=linux
then mc looks like it should, but the keys don`t work :(.
When I duplicate my xterm termcap, and rename it too
screen:sc:screen<Eterm>:\
:xterm`s termcap here
It doesn`t work like with the export command.
Any linux gurus who can help me ??
Also now this looks my little self made screen termcap entry :), but when say I set it to the TERM var mc doesn`t work on aterm, whereas with TERM=xterm, aterm and Eterm work good (besides that mc looks ugly).:

screen:sc:screen<Eterm>\

Every help appreciated,

This problem is easy to solve. Just open mc in your terminal emulator. Press ESC 9, then select Options>Learn Keys. Here you should know what to do. :D

Congrats on using Screen - great minds think alike.:)

Escreen in Enlightenment in Debian Sarg, the current release, stresses that it is very new and buggy.
