I'm using a RH Linux 7.2 PC. Unfortunately it doesn't come with KDE.
I have downloaded KDE 3.1 from www.kde.org
and burnt that into a CD-R.
Next I try to install the rpm from the CD into the computer. These are what I did:
1)rpm -ivh qt*.rpm (this step is ok)
2)rpm -ivh kde*.rpm (erroros follow)
3) the error message is something like this
cannot unpacked archive......
4) the installation continues and it shows 100% for all the kde rpm
Ok, then I try to search for kde at /opt but I cannot find it. I suspect that kde was not installed properly.
