Thanks, that's what I needed to know. I might download another linux version and try it with that.

Then I'll reset the card, and if that doesn't work, I'll go get a new one. Thanks for the tips!

Ok, so I guess you've not customized it too much yet. If do decide to install something else, have a look Debian 7 which was relased quite recently.

Try reseating the card first (before installing another distro).

If making a purchase be sure to some research an purchase a card that is known to be working well on Linux.
