Smile Error: Wrong user: my userid is 33, instead of 110(backuppc)

Hi All,

After much knashing of teeth I have finally got backup pc installed.
When I log into the web browser i get the following; Error: Wrong user: my userid is 33, instead of 110(backuppc)

I read on 1 forum that I should change apache2 to run under the user backuppc, but I can't figure out how to do it. Neither do I understand
the file permision issue!?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If you want to change the user apache run as, you have to edit httpd.conf, find the line "User ..." and change it accordingly. You may also change the group if you want.
Regarding permissions you must make sure that the directory used for backups is owned and also readable/writeable by the above mentioned user.

I changed the user to backuppc, and it appears to be working ok now.
Just need to learn to use it now!
Thanks for the advice.
