I have a problem I haven't been able to fix which is why i come to you (obvious huh?
)
after isntalling a Gentoo 2005/0 on my Vaio laptop PCG-FX501, i decided to go with Gnome so i followed the instructions on the gentoo HOW-TO Gnome
first i edited my /etc/make.conf and added

USE="-qt -kde gtk gnome"
then i emerged it with

emerge gnome xscreensaver
there's 173 files to emerge.... so it's takes a loooong time... but when it comes to the 22th which is dev-perl/XML-Parser-2.34 it stops here what it shows:
