Error opening type hash map aliases.db : permission denied

Hello,

I am trying to install Sendmail 8.13.1 and when launching the following command cat aliases | /opt/sendmail/makemap -v hash aliases.db I get the error message specified in the Sublect. Does anybody have and idea what I am doing wrong. I am using United Linux with kernel 2.6.7.

Thanks!

Are you running that as root. Could this be a permission problem?
