Today, I began to learn Linux Device Drivers ,so I need to build and install linux frome kernel. I downloaded kernel 2.6.10 ,requiring gcc-2.95.3 . But when I tried to install gcc ,I met something wrong as follows:
make[1]: ***[cpp.info] Error 2
make : ***[install-gcc] Error 2
what is the reason ? I need help .If somebody can explain and instruct me how to install gcc-2.95.3.

You don't need gcc 2.95.3, just use whatever gcc that your distro provides.
