error in installing music tracker plugin on pidgin

Ive encountered this error during the compilation of music tracker plugin. Im already using pidgin 2.3.1 using yum update procedure on my CentOS 4.6. I looked for the path mentioned on this error but cant find it on config file of musictracker. Has anybody have a solution for this?

checking for PIDGIN... Package pidgin was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `pidgin.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'pidgin' found
configure: error:
*** Pidgin 2.0+ is required to build MusicTracker; please make sure you have the
*** Pidgin development files installed. The latest version of Pidgin is always
*** available at http://pidgin.im/.

Hi!

Installing the pidgin-devel package fixed a similar issue for me!

sudo yum install pidgin-devel

Hope it helps!
