Question error booting redhat with grub command line


hi vereyone,
I use win xp and redhat 9,i isntalled the grub in the boot partition
of the redhat 9,now it can boot without any problem from the bootdisk,
but when i want to boot the redhat from the command line of the grub
with this commands:
root (hd0,4)
kernel /vmlinuz root=/dev/hda5
initrd /initrd-2.4.20-8.img
boot
the boot proccess is starting,but ending without completion with this
error messages:
pivootrootivot_root(/sysroot,/sysroot/initrd) failed:2
umount /initrd/proc failed:2
kernel panic:No init found Try passing init=option to kernel.
i am newbie plz reply me in detail.
