errno -2


Hi,

in my init/main.c sys_open(/dev/console,....) returns -2 .

what does -2 errorno means ?

http://www.pccl.demon.co.uk/C/errno.html seems to be your solution.
I tried it, and it said:
errno = 2 - No such file or directory
so it seems you need to check your file path ...

I just downloaded http://www.pccl.demon.co.uk/C/errno.c then:
cc errno.c
./a.out 2

But the OP says it returns -2 (note the - sign), not 2.
