eroaster problem

When attempting to burn a data CD (several directories/files) using Eroaster as SU on fresh install Mandrake 9.1, I get the following error message:

Vendor_info: 'ASUS'
Identifikation: CRW-4816A'
Revision: '1.0'
Device seems to be: Generic mmc CD-RW.
Using feneric SCSI-3/mmc CD-R driver (mmc_cdr).
Driver flags: MMC-3 SWABAUDIO BURNFREE
Supported modes:
Drive buf size: 1602304 = 1564KB
FIFO size: 4194304 = 4096KB
/usr/bin/cdrecord: Drive does not support TAO recording.
/usr/bin/cdrecord: Illegal write mode for this drive.
/usr/bin/mkisofs: Broken pipe. cannot fwrite 2048*1

What does this mean, and what do I need to do to fix it?

Appearantly, your drive doesn't support TAO (track at once).
Try making an iso of what you want and burn that, it's DAO then (disc at once)

Don't panic - problem solved: I went into Mandrake Control Center/Hardware/HardDrake - highlighted the burner and ran the config tool. Retried eroaster, and it made me a data CD.

Now I (only) need to fix "can't find" freeamp, normalize, lame, bchunk.

is that a comment or a question? just install those apps, IF you want to use them, you don't really need them, lame would be useful though

On second thoughts, I have:

/usr/lib/libmp3lame.so.0.0.0
/usr/share/doc/lame-libs-3.93

are these what eroaster wants, and if so, how do I tell it where they are. Adacity uses them(?) to make mp3 files.

Hi Acid-kewpie

I haven't solved my eroaster/lame problem:

WARNING main [Main] Couldn't find lame

Looking around, I have found:

/usr/lib/eroaster/lame.py
/usr/lib/eroaster/lame.pyc
/usr/lib/libmp3lame.so.0.0.0 (from lame-3.93.1.i386.rpm)

How do I get eroaster to find lame?

Thanks
