Enabling remote displays
I am having some trouble with remote displays on two new Redhat Linux boxes that are replacing some old SGI O2's.
Here is what I am trying to do.
We login to the new redhat Linux box and then ssh -X into another Linux host machine to evoke an X-windows (motif) application. Within this app, there is a function that opens another gui window (it basically does some type of export of the display of this second window gui to where ever you want it to go)
As it stands now I can export the displays to any of the old SGI O2's from the Linux host machine, but can’t export the display to the new redhat machines I'm basically using as a console terminal. It will also export the display back to itself if that makes any sense.
My gut feeling is something needs to be enabled on my redhat console linux PC's to allow remote machines to export their displays to these systems.. Any idea’s ?
