Empty command name of ps output in arm linux

Hi,

I am using kernel 2.4 for embedded system for arm. But I found one problem for improper out put of ps command. I saw that, command name is empty in ps out put.

One solution is pgrep, but where i can find source code for pgrep?

Hi...

Are you telling that the ps command on the target board.? or on the host system...What do you want to do exactly? some more breif information please to help you?

yes! ps command in the terget board. it is showing other fields, bt command column is empty ... system is arm 7, linux kernel 2.4

I think it is actaully a problem with your ps command on the target board.. I am also basically working on pxa255 arm platform...i am not facing such a problem...Try to cross compile the procps utility open source or give me your id i will send the direct arm cross compiled ps command..

hi ramesh, u r correct,, it is the problem with ps command. there is a bug in the ps command, it is opening stdin for writing.
