emacs tutorial not working

Hello

I'm learning emacs, but there's one command that doesn't work. It says use c-x 2 to open another windows and c-x 0 to switch between window 1 and window 2, but when I press c-x 0, it closes window 2 rather than selecting it??

Thank you

It's c-x o, not c-x 0 (letter o not number zero)

Cheers,
Tink
