Emacs customizations are ignored?
I made some customizations for emacs using the customization buffers. I made sure that these customizations are saved to the .emacs file in my home folder, still when I restart emacs my customizations are gone. I looked into ~/.emacs and my customized settings were there.
It should be noted that some settings that I have changed did persisted while other didn't. What I figured out was that emacs loads some other init file after loading my ~/.emacs so that the settings in that file overrides my own settings. So my question is, can somebody tell me what are these files and where can I find them? Of course if my guess is wrong I would like somebody to tell me that also.
