electronic lecture application/flash alternative?

Hi, I've been looking for an application that will do something a bit like flash I guess. I basically was wondering if there is some type of app that lets you sync up audio with some writing done on screen and be able to share it in a small file size.

I know flash can do this, but I and many other linux users have problems with sound, and its not gpled

I'm basically aiming for something that I could kind of do a little electronic lecture, showing some math scribbled with my mouse or tablet, and with audio I'm recording while doing it, I know could capture the video/audio and make a vid but I'm aiming for easily shared small files like .swfs. Thanks in advance

Did a bit more searching, sounds like there is a bit of hope for putting sound is .svgs one day, and maybe it wouldn't be too difficult to have sound and on screen notes that could play back in realtime. For now I guess I could try just having someone following along a pdf with an ogg.

Edit: Found one more thing, this is looking pretty good, just need to record some audio seperately.
