Eggdrop Shell

Hello, guys please tell me what do I need for starting an eggdrop shell provider except computer, good internet connection and Linux as OS. Tell me is this possible to be started in home conditions with static IP, or I should ban this idea from my head if it is not possible. Thanks in advance.

Of course it's possible. Just download and install Eggdrop and configure it. It compiles/install with a simple "./configure && make && make install".
