edonkey2000 problem

I'm trying to download a song from edonkey but for the past half an hour,my downloads havent started at all. Then i tried downloading other songs but the same thing happens.What am i doing wrong?

are you sure you aren't trying to download off a user that is putting you into a queue? or are you sure the slots are open on the user your trying to download from?
if so, does this happen on all p2p programs you try if you tried any others...also look in the connection settings to see if there is any options that shouldn't be, or should be
