Eclipse startup problems

I installed the eclipse version that came with my os. (suse 9.3) After I installed it I installed the jboss-IDE plugin that I got through the eclipse update program. After installing the plugins I noticed that there were some errors that were appearing. So what I did was uninstall eclipse and reinstalled it. Eclipse still had the plugins that were there from the previous installation. So I unistalled it again and this time I did a search for any directory or file name called eclipse. I then erased the references to eclipse and then reinstalled it. Once I reinstalled the program I started to get a error. The error will not allow me to open the eclipse program. Below is the error I get when I try and open the program

I know that I could just use the newest version of eclipse but the jboss-ide plugin does not work under eclipse 3.1 The problem does not exist in eclipse 3.0.x

If anyone can tell me hoow to fix these errors please let me know.
