Red face eclipse slowing down over time (for a session)

Hi!

I have this computer where eclipse should be snappy.... as a matter of fact, it's snappy.... but it slows down over time in an unusual fashion. I thought it was because I was using Indigo where I was noticing this problem so I updated to Juno noticing the same problem. What could be causing it? If I restart eclipse it feels snappy again (and starts to slow down again).

My computer at work is not facing this problem and it's the same eclipse, same JREs (openjdk from packages and oracle's JDKs 1.6 and 1.7) only that at work it's kubuntu 12.04 while the computer where the problem is happening is on (kubuntu) 12.10.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Ok... a little update. I have noticed that if I use a mouse instead of the touchpad eclipse won't slow down. Does it make any sense?
