Eclipse IDE and Red Hat Linux 9.0

Is it possible to use any version of Eclipse IDE with Red Hat Linux 9.0?
I have already installed JRE on my Red Hat Linux 9.0 PC. But I am not able to run eclipse on my system.

Any help???

Thanks in advance.

Redhat 9 is so old, that it was around before Eclipse and Mono.

I strongly suggest upgrading to a modern, supported version of Linux. Fedora 7 is the successor to Redhat 9 (and 4 years more advanced).

Thanks for ur reply.

I used Eclipse on Fedora Core 3,4 etc.
But now I have to use Red Hat 9.0(Kernel Version 2.4.x) for one of my projetcs. So I need a flexible environment for coding purpose instead of traditional VIM editor and the terminal. Hence I am looking for Eclipse IDE for Red Hat 9.0; but I find no useful links on the Internet.

Would u tell me plz if it is possible to work on Eclipse with Red Hat 9.0? - if not - is there any type of Eclipse like IDE for Red Hat 9.0?

Thanks again.
