Unhappy eclipse doesn't run : JVM terminated. Exit code=1

Hi
After searching/googling around , never found any answers , anyways...
Nobody explained what is this and the certain way to solve the problem , even removing java and eclipse didn't help

The code is here :

JVM terminated. Exit code=1
/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-sun/bin/java
-Djava.library.path=/usr/lib/jni
-Dgnu.gcj.precompiled.db.path=/var/lib/gcj-4.1/classmap.db
-Dgnu.gcj.runtime.VMClassLoader.library_control=never
-Dosgi.locking=none
-jar /usr/lib/eclipse/startup.jar
-os linux
-ws gtk
-arch x86
-launcher /usr/lib/eclipse/eclipse
-name Eclipse
-showsplash 600
-exitdata 261b800c
-install /usr/lib/eclipse
-vm /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-sun/bin/java
-vmargs
-Djava.library.path=/usr/lib/jni
-Dgnu.gcj.precompiled.db.path=/var/lib/gcj-4.1/classmap.db
-Dgnu.gcj.runtime.VMClassLoader.library_control=never
-Dosgi.locking=none
-jar /usr/lib/eclipse/startup.jar

I observed a similar error installing 64 bit Eclipse 3.2.1 on Fedora Core 6 a few months ago. Anytime I tried to launch Eclipse, it would crash with one of those vm errors. Maybe it was the very same issue but I'm afraid I don't remember the full details. Anyway, I did find a solution searching google. It turned out I had to put a file in my home directory that corrected something in - oddly enough - mozilla firefox. I would be happy to post it - only I moved to Edgy after that to do my Java development and I uninstalled Eclipse from Fedora. I hope I may have but you on the right track, though.
