Eclipse and gcj as JDK

Good evening everybody.

I have recently downloaded and installed Eclipse on my SuSE 9.3 box . I already have Sun's JDK 1.5.0_05 as my default JDK/ JRE.

I would also like to use GCJ as an alternate JDK/ JRE while using Eclipse. I have installed the following gcj related packages from YaST.
  • libgcj
  • libgcj-devel
  • gcc-java

However there doesn't seem to be any specific JDK directory (as Sun's one) for Eclipse to recognise. GCJ's libraries and jars are scattered in /usr/lib and /usr/share/ directories. Thus I cannot import GCJ as a JVM into Eclipse.

Is there any way to use GCJ as a JVM in Eclipse so that I can develop applications using it? I have installed gnome-java and I think it might be interesting to explore the native capabilities of GCJ.

Thnx in advance...
