Probably a fantastic solution... but I want to use Perl as Programming Language instead of PHP.

fab12& do you use oscommerce now if so how is it? I use the paypal system now but, would like to try oscommerce. The oscommerce help forums sucks I could not get any help. I am wondering what would happen if oscommerce was to ever break. Can a company buy support from the oscommerce group?

I'm really happy with commerce.cgi. It's simple to set up and configure, and you can get limited support for free, or pay to get more extensive support (I'm cheap, tho).
I'm still using version 3, just noticed they've got version 4 out now.
Enjoy!

I'm not familiar with oscommerce, so I can't compare it with commerce.cgi.
If I were looking to set up a shopping cart today, I'd probably prefer a php solution. But at the time I set this up, I was more comfortable with perl.
Just my 2 cents.
Enjoy!
