DVDr Rip -> DVD Disc

I was just trying to burn a DVDr copy of a disc to a new DVDR disc and when I tried to play it xine told me this

Code:
libdvdread: Using libdvdcss version 1.2.8 for DVD access
libdvdnav: DVD Title:
libdvdnav: DVD Serial Number:
libdvdnav: DVD Title (Alternative):
libdvdread: Can't open file VIDEO_TS.IFO.
libdvdnav: vm: faild to read VIDEO_TS.IFO
It also asks me if I have read access on the dvd volume, and yes I have. I can play bought DVD discs just fine.

The cat tree are also as the bought disc has it...

/
/VIDEO_TS
/VIDEO_TS/ <- All the .VOB .IFO .BUP Files are here

Imo It should work ... I got xine to play the files by telling to play the .VOB files manually without trying to run the meny and intro.

Awhell, if anyone has any comments on this, please tell me cause It would be nice if I still could play my copy in a standalone dvd player.

If the copy doesn't work on a standalone player either, it seems like there must be a problem with the .IFO file itself. If you can play other dvds in Xine, it shouldn't be a problem with read/write permissions. The .IFO file tells the dvd player the layout of the disc. Maybe this is a problem with how the dvd was authored?

There is a guide on how to create a new ifo file here: http://mpucoder.kewlhair.com/derrow/createifo.html

Unfortunately, most of the tools for this sort of stuff only are for windows. You should check out www.dvdrhelp.com and www.afterdawn.com.
