DVD to SVCD conversion with acidrip

Does anyone know which video codec to choose to make a svcd file in acidrip? copy, raw, nuv, divx4, lavc, vfw, qtvideo, libdv, xvid, x262? It would be so much easier if they just had an option that said "SVCD". :D But oh well.

You have the option of using dvd:rip. SVCD is mpeg2. VCD is mpeg1. I suggest using a program that does that..

For you, cause I'm just so damn nice:

The utility ffmpeg has VCD, SVCD, and as well DVD built-in. The utility transcode takes a long, long, long time to encode while ffmpeg or mjpegtools can do it faster.
