You can use the DVD Shrink 3.1 binary under wine. Try it out. You have to use a litte utility called dvdbackup first to rip the entire DVD to disk. Then, you can resize the fies using the DVD Shrink Reauthor browser.
If you run Fedora (like me), I think you can install dvdbackup using yum.
