DVD::RIP audio out of sync with video
DVD::RIP
P2.4 768mb RAM - Ubuntu 7.10
Hi all
After ripping a DVD, and then encoding to xvid (or any format) the audio is always ahead of the video by around half a second.
Thinking that it may be lack of processing power I have tried reducing the 'nice' level from 19 to 10, and running from xfce.
I seem to remember this issue starting after upgrading from Breezy to Edgy, however it did not occur on all rips. I'm now on Gutsy and happerns every time. Which is a pain as I've just got the 'cluster' module working :-(
Just wondering if anybody else has experienced this.
also, the transcoding process with sometimes stop with one second to go, I have to manually kill the process.
Cheers
Stefan
