I am having a problem with RPMs, when I click on them and put in my root password it checks for Package Dependencies, and then after thats done the little box goes off, and it does not do anything else..
It does not install, some RPMs will install like Yahoo Installed, and so did this MP3 Plugin, but this one will not install, and I had some do the same that I was never able to install..

rpm -vv --rebuilddb
and then retry installing the rpm...
or.....

cd /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES
and then go compile the file...

I did
rm -rf /var/lib/rpm/__db*
rpm -vv --rebuilddb
Just like that into the Terminal, it like added a whole bunch of entries.. I tried the RPM again and it did the same thing, and in root it should work right.. Then again should the...
rm -rf /var/lib/rpm/__db*
rpm -vv --rebuilddb
..be on one line or two? I put it on two lines...
It is not a source rpm, so that should not be reason...
its two seperate lines....
do you get any errors when doing rebuilddb?
if not, then install the rpm from command line like so ::
rpm -ivh filename.rpm
post what happens after issuing that command...
