duplicity won't make incremental backups

Hi. I am using duplicity to do ftp backups to my fileserver. I am issuing the following command

duplicity --encrypt-key "keyid" --sign-key "keyid" /path/to/local/directory/ ftp://user@server//path/to/backup/directory

However; every time i do this, duplicity does a full backup even though I haven't changed any files (the only difference is that after the first run, the message about switching to full backup mode doesn't appear).

Has anyone experienced this problem before?

Regards, Kristian

I now have some additional information that could be of help when figuring this out.

I have created a test directory to backup. the first time I run duplicity I get the following

No signatures found, switching to full backup.
--------------[ Backup Statistics ]--------------
StartTime 1194090281.85 (Sat Nov 3 12:44:41 2007)
EndTime 1194090281.88 (Sat Nov 3 12:44:41 2007)
ElapsedTime 0.03 (0.03 seconds)
SourceFiles 3
SourceFileSize 10990 (10.7 KB)
NewFiles 3
NewFileSize 10990 (10.7 KB)
DeletedFiles 0
ChangedFiles 0
ChangedFileSize 0 (0 bytes)
ChangedDeltaSize 0 (0 bytes)
DeltaEntries 3
RawDeltaSize 6894 (6.73 KB)
TotalDestinationSizeChange 4655 (4.55 KB)
Errors 0
-------------------------------------------------

and the second time I run it (immediately afterwards) I get the following

--------------[ Backup Statistics ]--------------
StartTime 1194090294.59 (Sat Nov 3 12:44:54 2007)
EndTime 1194090294.69 (Sat Nov 3 12:44:54 2007)
ElapsedTime 0.10 (0.10 seconds)
SourceFiles 3
SourceFileSize 10990 (10.7 KB)
NewFiles 3
NewFileSize 10990 (10.7 KB)
DeletedFiles 0
ChangedFiles 0
ChangedFileSize 0 (0 bytes)
ChangedDeltaSize 0 (0 bytes)
DeltaEntries 3
RawDeltaSize 6894 (6.73 KB)
TotalDestinationSizeChange 4658 (4.55 KB)
Errors 0
-------------------------------------------------

It would seem the only difference is the message the first time that it will perform a full backup.

Any idea is very appreciated.
