Dumping out records in psql


Hi,

I wanted to dump the records only of one table in psql and put it on another server running the same db. My problem is I cannot do it manually as the table includes some codes and texts with spaces and multiple characters. How can I dump out a copy and put it in a new db without doing it manually?

Not sure what you're asking; your question doesn't make sense.

If you have "codes and texts" that prohibit a load into a table..how did they get there to start with? And what do you mean by doing it manually?? How are you taking backups of the DB now?? The pg_dump command can easily take a backup of an existing table/whole DB, and restore it....a quick Google search tuns up lots:
