Dump all audio output on a file

Hi,

I need an application able to dump in background all audio output of other applications to a WAV wave file. This is needed because I have a bunch of audio apps (expecially CheeseTracker) that are still unable to export their output as a wave. I use ALSA on Gentoo.

I googled and looked on Freshmeat but I was unable to find something, but I'm sure it exists... any hint ?

Thanks.

Esound may be able to do what you want.

Hmm. I can't see how does this app can help me... moreover it seems to have fossilized years ago (last news on the homepage are of March 2000 !)

I'll have a look, but I hope you can advice me something more promising :)
