Dual Boot: Ubuntu and Windows XP problem

I am using Ubuntu 8.10 and Windows XP.

My connection to the internet thru Windows XP worked. Then I installed Ubuntu. Now the Windows XP connection does not work. This is what I have done so far.

1.) Reformated the hard disk.

2.) Installed Windows XP and the drivers for the cable modem.

3.) Installed Ubuntu 8.10.

I have checked the cable modem. It works. In fact, the cable company sent a guy over to check my connection.

I have tried to make sure that in windows, the connection to the Internet has not been disabled by Ubuntu. It is not disabled.

I can not get to the Internet thru Windows XP.

Has anyone here had this problem?

Regards

Once you are running in XP, the fact that Ubuntu is also on the hard drive is not relevant.

The only thing to do is to go through the process of setting up Windows for your particular connection. Also try re-starting the modem.
