duel boot
Yes that is duel as in shooting at eatch other. I have set up a lot of dual boot systems witn linux, os2, win98, win95, NT, dos, etc. I have never set up a dual system using win2k.
Set Win whatever up on the first drive but break it into two partitions one that is belove the 1024 track barrier on a lot of bioses. The other can be any size. Then set up your linux on the next drive. Make shure that you have the booting partition smaller then 1024 tracks same as for winwhatever. Install lilo on the second drive then run {stall-mbr /dev/hda}. I only use Debian so you may have to get install-mbr for your distro. By the way you can install linux and whatever on the same drive as long as all the bootable partitions fit belowe track 1024. |

:(
I just reinstalled my linux with GRUB for the first time and I'm dual booting linux and win2000. For some reason win2000 is not on the menu to boot. I have no idea how to get that in there. Went all through the command line of grub and probably screwed it up more. My dual boot was working with LILO, should have left it alone......but just wanted to see what Grub was all about. Now trying to get 2000 booted. HELP!!! |
this is it, just adjust the drive for you setup if necessary.
